Textile Designing: Types, Importance and Impacts

A first message does not need a finished technical pack. It should identify the product and what is still undecided.

Product sketches and fabric swatches

1. The product and its intended use

Name the item as precisely as you can and describe how it will be used. A training shirt, a boxing glove and a work glove each lead to different material and construction decisions.

2. Estimated quantities

Give estimated units by style, size and colour. An approximate breakdown is enough to start the discussion.

3. Your reference

Share drawings, photographs or a physical sample, and say what should be matched and what you want changed.

4. Branding, labels and packaging

Include logo files, preferred placement, label content and any packing requirements so they can be reviewed with the sample.

5. Destination and desired date

Tell us where the order is going and when you would like it. Timing is confirmed for the specific product once the brief and sample are agreed.
